Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-End-Credits-Scene-ExplainedTwo big things happened to me this weekend both of which are of equal importance. My older sister graduated college and I finally got the chance to watch Guardians of the Galaxy.

Okay maybe my sister's graduation was a bit more important (; D).

Yep she did it. She successfully navigated the unnecessarily long and unnecessarily complex bureaucracy that is post secondary education. I couldn't be more proud of her. For those who may be interested she finished with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in English.

I know I struggle with English and that is my native tongue I couldn't imagine studying and mastering a whole another language.

In reference to the other important event that happened this weekend I can say that I was not at all disappointed. I have heard so many people say how funny and amazing the Guardians of the Galaxy was and how Marvel had just done it again. I'd have to say I completely again.

What I enjoyed the most about the movie was the blend and perfect balance between humor and development of a serious plot line. I also was impressed by Chris Pratt's performance because I had been worried that I wouldn't be able to see him as anyone else besides Andy Dwyer, but I was proved wrong (as is often the case).

In addition to getting to see my sister graduate and watch a quality movie I also got to spend a lot of time with family some of which I hadn't seen in over two years.

There was a lot to be grateful and although I was sad when I had to get back to reality on Sunday and return to the ER for a long shift I have been very much looking forward to the first week of winter break.

Okay I got projects to finish up so let's get on with this week's list.

1. 5 Things About Manhood by Bryan Krahn

Fuck I love Mr. Krahn's work so much. I rarely add blogs to my list of ones I keep up with on a daily basis, but his is an obvious exception to this habit. I especially enjoyed this piece because he offers a couple of really great points that I think any young man who is growing up in this "Internet Century" needs to hear and take to heart.

2. The Weight Loss Mistake You're Making Over and Over Again by John Romaniello

Mr. Romaniello could probably considered the king of body recomposition. When he speaks or writes on this topic I listen up. He shares a mistake with everyone in this piece that you will definitely identify with and shares an even better solution for fixing the mistake.

3. Just Because it's Healthy, Doesn't Mean it's Good for You by Neghar Fonooni

Ah shit there she goes again! Yep Mrs. Fonooni lays down another sage piece of wisdom. At the end of the day it always comes down to n = 1. It is about finding what works for you and your way of life.

Happy moving and heavy lifting
